Hirohito TSUJI
辻󠄀 博仁

Hirohito Tsuji is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of East Anglia, and an amateur Enka singer.
In 1994, he was born in Hokkaido, Japan. He has obtained his degrees of Master of Arts from the University of East Anglia, Master of History from Kokugakuin University, and Bachelor of Arts from Kogakkan University. He is a research assistant of Art Research Center, Ritsumeikan University (working as a Research Assistant of the Lisa Sainsbury Library, Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Cultures/an Archivist of the Centre for Japanese Studies, University of East Anglia), a visiting fellow at the Research Institute of the History and the Culture, and a contributor for Japanese studies, The Digital Orientalist, and private Japanese language tutor. He used to work as a research assistant of Art Research Center, Ritsumeikan University, an assistant curator of the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and a temporary curator of the Prince Chichibu Memorial Sport Museum and Library, Japan Sport Council. He is also an independent Shinto priest. His majors are Japanese studies and history. He is specialising in the Imperial Family of Japan.
Currently, he is writing his academic articles for Ishi no Rekishi Bunka Jiten [Encyclopaedia of Stone History and Culture] (Tōkyō: Asakura Publishing Co.).
As an amateur Enka singer, he is active in performing at international cultural exchange events, and visits social welfare facilities or hospitals. He has a wide repertoire ranging from Japanese popular songs before World War II to the latest contemporary new Enka songs, and also does songwriting.
